Parents' Dilemma

Now what my princess taught me is something which my parents couldn't...

Its a normal small routine task of every mom of cutting nails for their kiddos..Whenever I try doing that,my baby doesn't like it at all. Her concern is that I hold her hand and don't allow her to move till I am done and that irritates her. Now,I am in dilemma. I need to cut her nails regularly else she may hurt herself or others while playing. She hates it if I don't allow her to move her hand while cutting her nails. And if I don't hold her hand tight enough,I may cut her skin with nail. So now what to do ?????? I have to cut nails and hold her tight as well, for her good which she is too young to understand yet.

When I thought upon this,I felt its such a similar situation when we are teens. We are old enough to understand that cutting nails is important but not old enough to understand whats good for us as our parents can.

When we are teens, or even when we grow up there are lots of things that our parents ask us not to do but we are in our own fantasy world we just don't understand the reason behind it. We just feel that they are too protective,or worst they are too restrictive, generation gap and so on. But we only get to know what our parents meant when we fall !!!

Din't this remind you of those days???
